I am really struggling to know what to do for the best here. I have got Milo and Shady booked into the vets for titre tests today, however there has been a few cases of parvo in our area and I am paronid about them getting it, especially Milo with all his problems and the fact he is partial to a snack on dog and fox poo when out on his walks.
Milo has never had a booster since his puppy jabs and is now 4 years old but his titre readings have always been ok. Shady had her first booster about 18 months ago as her titre readings had gone down to borderline.
I spoke to my insurance company last night and they said if the dogs are not up to date with thier vaccinations then they won't cover treatment if they get parvo and I would not be able to afford to have them treated myself on my income.
So in the end last night I thought I will just take them and have Shadys booster done and Milo just done for parvo and pray he doesn't react fatally against it.
But now Shady has had me up all night being sick, so she won't be able to have her booster and I am worried that if I booster Milo for Parvo he may be harbouring whatever is wrong with Shady as I am 99.9% certain she hasn't eaten anything to make her sick.
I don't want to put Milos parvo jab off though if he is fine now I have made my decision as I don't want to risk him getting it.
What would you all do?
