Can it be wrong! My bitch mated 8 weeks ago, and she is off her food, so i took her to the vet today, and he did an ultrasound scan
and said she doesnt have any pups, so is having a phantom.  Could he be wrong.  She has discharge and is larger in the chest/ribs, and is very moody and clingy, and her
mammary's are bigger.  Really sad me if its a phantom!

SOmeone used my boy at 6 weeks told that she wasn't pregnant.  They knew she was had her re-scanned at 8 weeks told that he still didn't think there was any there but maybe one, two at the most, she ended up having a normal sized litter for the breed of 5. Friend sent me photo's of her at 6 weeks and it was as clear as day that she was pregnant!

hi, my bitch had all the pregnancy signs including discharge, enlarged mammarys and tummy, mood changes, off food etc, even lost what we thought was the plug and started going through labour. she was a week overdue and not producing anything so we took her for to the vets who scanned and she wasn't actually carrying anything turned out to be a phantom.
The vet even said it didn't look if she'd ever been pregnant as her uterus was that small.
Hope it's better news for you though, you've only a week left to go so keep us informed x

One of my girls is having a phantom at the moment (our first) and it's very convincing!

Oh well, spoke to my stud owner today, she said she could be having one, holding it high up, and going to treat her as if she is, till after weekend, see if anything comes of it.  Only problem being is she isnt eating, not a thing, keeps moving her bowl around the kitchen but not eating, wont even eat her usual 'treats'.
