hi this is a strange one! i noticed on the weekend my bullmastiff bitch was leeking pee when we were out having a walk, is was just dripping out of her but she was still bopping down every now & then to pee normaly, i did think perhaps she was being lazy, but last nite she was asleep on floor & noticed a wet patch, she had peed in her sleep, she got up & i let her outside, pee still dripping from her again, the same thing happened an hr later, she is no different in herself & it's not happened today,it's really weird, she's 3 soon so she's not an old dog, has anyone else experienced this, she's fine in herself, so strange. Will ring vet tomorrow if happens again.

I think the main things that springs to mind are a wee infection, has she just had or due her season too?? And also spinal damage...sure it's not that but let's hope it's something simple eh?

Unfortunately urinary incontinence affects 20% of spayed bitches. However there are medications (lifelong, sadly) that can control it, so talk to your vet.

One of my girls had exactly the same, and I wondered if it was because she has been spayed.  But it was a urinary tract infection, and antibiotics did the trick.

I agree it is either a bad case of cystitis/UTI or spay incontinence which is most common in large breed bitches, the treatments for the latter are Propalin, or if that fails Incurin.

Both can make bitches attractive to male dogs, one more so than the other as they are hormonal preparations to replace the lost hormones which is in muscle tone in that area.
