Teri,

Gundogs, you know how bright they are, mine are the same :) you can almost see the cogs working :)

But then I am quite biased :)

My Paps love the wooden games and got it very quickly, one is particularly good at the sliding one to find the treat concealed inside, their tails wag and they get all excited when they get their "prize" good to get a dog to use it brains :-)

If anyone has a link to these id be grateful.

hmmmm was interested in these until i saw the size of them. not quite right for my breed i think
- By Papillon [gb] Date 05.02.09 13:48 UTC
Think your right they may well be better suited to the smaller breeds, shame they dont make bigger ones as well really because the dogs just love the games.
- By Freewayz [gb] Date 05.02.09 14:24 UTC
The plastic versions I think are a bit bigger. I bought the Brick one and my friends large GAD could use it no bother..
- By mahonc Date 05.02.09 14:25 UTC
do you have a link to a larger one please?
- By mahonc Date 05.02.09 14:25 UTC

- By Papillon [gb] Date 05.02.09 14:31 UTC

http://www.traininglines.co.uk/interactive-dog-toys-treat-dispensing-toys-training-toys-activity-toys-treat-balls-515-0.html

We have the dog brick (old type) it looks like a big domino that you hide a treat. dog then slides the cover over to find his prize. If you live near the North East you can have it, collect only.

We also bought a childs basket ball net from a toy shop, teach your dog to put the ball in the net and give a treat on completion.

Most of the Nina Ottoson games (I think these are the ones you mean) come in a plastic version as well - these are much tougher than the wooden ones, less likely to be chewed and can be easily washed (even in the dishwasher).  My cockers have the dog brick and love it - they get so excited when I get the game out.  They worked it out fairly quickly - though there are different games with different levels of difficulty.

- By tadog [gb] Date 06.02.09 11:29 UTC
training lines is very good price. worth a look
- By Red Deb [gb] Date 06.02.09 16:10 UTC
North east england.... Middlesbrough about 50 miles south of Newcastle.
- By mahonc Date 06.02.09 16:13 UTC
i fancied getting one of these but after having a think i reckon it would just get kicked about or flung across the room and break a window or nose...
- By Red Deb [gb] Date 06.02.09 16:24 UTC
the dog brick we have is too heavy to throw about. Plastic type maybe lighter.
- By mahonc Date 06.02.09 16:26 UTC
i think someone mentioned the plastic ones i would need will be plastic. think the money may be better spent on treats of the food variety. i know they would be more appreciated.
