After some chasing around trying to find another supplier as Redcastle have had problems with supplying bones for ages I've contacted Durham Animal Feeds. The guy was great, it's the same food Redcastles were supplying but cheaper. They deliver every 4 weeks up here - next delivery is Wednesday 4th. PM me if you want their phone number. It was actually the Scotbarf guy who put me onto them as he can't take any new customers at the moment.

Ditto - I have had the same email from Scotbarf. Interesting that the food is the same as Redcastles were supplying.

Redcastles are now manufacturing their own food as they are fed up being messed around by outside suppliers. I had a conversation with the owner at the Weekend. He is still in the early stages but hopes to supply a wider variety than he could before but obviously there is still a hold up on orders as he's not ready yet but he said that he will notify all customers once he's in a go situation.

It's really the raw knuckle bones I was missing most (or rather the dogs were missing them!) from Redcastle, they haven't had any in for months. Lee from Durham was really helpful and they're cheaper than redcastles too. I'll try them out with an order for delivery next week and see how it goes :-)

You're luckier than me Tigger2, I've never managed to get raw knuckle bones from Redcastles. They've also been out of heart & tripe and chicken carcasses for months too. This is probably why they are setting up their own supply distribution.

Do you know if Durham deliver to home or do you have to pick it up from a meeting point? The only reason that I ask is that I like having it deliverd to home because of odd working times and convenience of pick up point. I live near Stirling. :-)

They're delivering to me in West Lothian, It's door to door delivery and it does say refrigerated :-)

Edited to say, this is their delivery schedule - I wonder if you'd be in the Glasgow run on 18th Feb?

I've spoken to them and they will deliver to me next Wednesday. It will be good to get some regularity and variation of food again :-)
