could any one tell me if they have ever used a chiropractor for
their dog and what they thought about it
also if anyone knows of  a animal chiropractor in lincolnshire

Hi, I regularly use one for dog and for myself (same guy :-) ) If your looking for one try googling 'MacTimmony Chiropracter'. The one I use is in Swaffham, Nfk which may be OK depending where you are in Lincs.

I use one for my GSP and she works wonders with his front legs which nothing else (medication etc) works for. I did have a job finding one though - and I can't remember how I found her in the end I'm afraid. :-) You could try your vet, they may have one they refer to as I believe all animal chiro needs a vet referral.

I regularly use a chiropractor for my dogs as well as myself! But it is a McTimoney chiropractor which is very gentle and does not do the "break backs and twist necks" thing... just very gentle manipulation which our dogs quite enjoy. She also does some muscle work in addition too which the dogs love as well.

We have had some fantastic results with the treatment, where the vet could do no more or the only other option was pain killers. I can definitely highly recommend it, but would only ever use a McTimoney chiropractor, not a normal one.

I've used a McTimmony chiropractor too & found the results fantastic there's a brilliant lady in new market, who also does accupressure & miofasia realse & is a reiki master too, she does travel around doing horses & sometimes fits dogs in around those appointments or there is a vet near kingslynn. Canine massage is also a good tool to use too ....
Any treatment even massage HAS to be done on a vet refferal & some insurances pay & some dont.
pm me if you'd like the lady's number.

I use a McTimonay Chiro for my dogs, quarterly, as a preventive measure generally as they are competition dogs I want them to be in peak of condition.

I also go to a non Mctimoney Chiro monthy for myself.

Never had to use one on my dogs, but used one on myself and they were Mctimoney and it worked wonders. Would go back and use them again if i needed it.

well the lady Mctmoney chiropractor came on tues and straight away found a problem on
his shoulder and neck Then his spine from the waist was out of line
she gave him ulta sound massage on his neck and shoulder Then ajusted his back as she would do
with a small horse She also advised to get him a harness when he is walked it would
not put any strain on his neck
Well its early days but there is a tiny bit of improvement today she is coming back next thursday
she said it usualy took 5 to 6 treatments but if there was no improvement after 3 sessions
she wouldent go on She was here for 2hrs treating him but we had to wait for him to wake up a lot as he loved all the massageing

only by opening the biscuit cupboard could she get him to be alert
He was a bit dubious with the ultra sound so i have been trying him today with my massager on his
legs  to get him used  to it   tommorow she said i can try it on his neck so that next week he will take the ultra sound in his stride any way i will let you know how it goes and thank you all for your advice
