At the risk of being hung drawn and quartered I have another question about my beloved little pug.
I have got books and i have read up on the net and i have looked all over the forum................ Miley gets eye bogeys about three times a day, I've read how to clean/wipe pugs eyes, would you does this frequently, as in every time she has mucky eyes or once daily or once weekly? I don't want to make her sore so I just wipe her eyes daily with a damp lint free wool pad. For the rest of the time i just gently brush my (clean) finger downwards with a small circular movement to try to get it to the corner and out.
Be gentle with me please. :)

Well I know next to nothing about Pugs, but I do breed flat faced cats, and in the case of them, I find the more they have their eyes wiped (or rather AROUND them), the better. I.e. once a day or so. If left too long the discharge can turn the skin sore, and if it dries and gets hard it's difficult to get off and also hurts the skin. I wash my cats' faces with a damp flannel .

Klean Face  by Dog Stuff- (yes that is how it's spelt)  www.ukpets.co.uk    is very good for keeping eye area fresh and clean. Boots or Superdrug double backed cotton pads are great for this, no fibres to irritate.
I do my Cavaliers everyday without fail as it keeps them free from staining and sweet smelling.

Nothing worse than a smelly-faced kiss.

I've never had Pugs, but I do have a 16 year old toy poodle.  She will actually come over and wait when I fill a jug with warm water!  I just use that and cotton wool.  Done daily it doesn't get chance to build up and make her sore.  For Pug individual experience you will find Gwen on here is very knowledgeable.

Great stuff! Thankyou all!
I'm sure Gwen will give me the benefit of her experience when she's on. x
