Wow, was shocked by the CKCS's scores, always thought that people said that smaller breeds weren't as bad as the bigger dogs.  Labradoodles, already realised that they had a very high worst score.  Doesn't this go to show that all crosses and pedigrees should be done then?

Beagles too have some awful scores.  I knew that the small breeds were just as bad for range of scores.

The OFA tables http://www.offa.org/hipstatbreed.html are interesting showing Bulldogs as the worst breed for hips, and in UK they are hardly ever scored at all.

I realise that it comes down to numbers but the Labradoodle has a higher score than either of it's constituents, may be that owners of the crossbreed do not score unless there is an obvious problem or that the hybrid vigour theory has a few holes in it.

Talking small dogs have you noted the Basenji, I am gobsmacked that such a light dog should have such a high score.

the range is 0 to 14, mean of 7, that is very good and all within what would be normal.

Sorry Brainless I am stupid I meant the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen their score is horrendous for such a small dog. 20 with the lowest being 9.

I am not sure that you are ever going to get meaningful results from the achondroplasic breeds.  I don't think many of them even bother scoring.

Yep the few Pugs scores are bad, but the US figures are pretty meaningful.

In that chart it gives the proportion of excellents (under 5 our system) and percentage dysplastic (Over 25 our system).
