Hi,
Hang on in there - it is still early days.
I would agree with other posts and go back to toilet training as if she was an 8 week old puppy. My bitch was harder to train than other dogs we have owned. We crate trained her and I would take her out late at night and make sure she did a wee. Then, I'd get up at about 5am (oh dear), bring her out of her crate to the same toilet spot outside and ask her to do a wee. If she didn't, I popped her back in her crate for 5 mins or so and then went back and repeated the process. She picked up really quickly what I was asking of her and gradually I was able to leave her until a more reasonable time. There were a few accidents, but, with a routine and some patience it got sorted. The benefit of having a 'word' command is now when we are out we can ask her to do her wee and she just gets on with it. Also, the benefit of the routine we used means that now even though her crate is always left open, she waits until I go get her in the morning, so, no chewing problems.
I would also agree with other post, get some vet bed (or similar) as it washes brilliantly and dries well, lasts for ages. I pop mine in the tumble dryer, not sure if you are supposed to but it works for me. Also, the top will remain dry if she is wetting.
Is it worth making sure the area she is sleeping in is washed with something to make sure the urine smell is definately gone, like a biological powder?
Good Luck and let us know how it goes.........
