I start day 10 you have to ensure you have the days right though to wait till nearer.

I usually find 2 is enough but have had 3 and 4 done before.

My Inca was mated on day 7 and 9, I did use a MateTel though, did use blood tests with Daisy and never got a positive result, the last test told us to re-test in 2 days, we knew she was ready on that day, took her to stud, they had a 1 hour tie and 8 pups from the one mating.  We started testing on day 8, she was mated on day 14 but none of the 4 tests gave positive results.

Casie had hers started at first sign of heat (shes silent, so started when there was a tiny tiny bit of swelling).  She had two tests done, both of which stated she wasnt ready, but she accepted the male.  Got a positive scan on Tuesday and are awaiting pups. 

Did day 5 and was told to take her to the stud straight away.  Mated on day 7, previous 2 litters she had been mated on day 18 and had pups.  This was my fourth go as she missed each time with the 3 other matings as by the looks of it I was going to the stud dogs way to late.

I now have a very pregnant girl due in 2 weeks time.

started tangle premate on day 8 this week her levels were 2.2 so off to vet again to draw up blood again on day 11 to be send off to idxx should get the results back saturday morning
need levels between 20 to 90 to mate her.

Many thanks, seems there are some very mixed reults! I have an Ovatel also, so will just have to play it by ear, as it were!

I used Idexx too, really nice people and phoned me straight away to say mate, NOW NOW!!  I did and I'm sooo excited, hoping for some ickle bobtails.
