OMG.....it has just started here (Somerset). Was just wondering how it is in the rest of the country. Sounds like the house is going to blow down.....glad I didnt go to Manchester today, would have been an awful trip home. Have lit the fire and battoned down the hatches, and that bottle of red vino is sure looking very tempting too!!!!!

I'm in Somerset too and I have just been out to watch my oak tree being blown all over the place...hope it doesn't come down..it's 300 years old so would be a shame to loose it now.

Well the fence is down here Aileen....do hope the Oak Tree stays upright.

im in central scotland and we have had a lovely day until about 2hours ago, when the wind kicked up and its pouring! glad i got the boy out for a good walk earlier with his 2 GSDs and 1 vizsla friend, he had a ball. all tired now.

Well I just got home from work in South Wales to find 1 of my bedroom windows blown out of it's frame. It's about 1.2 meter sq and far too big for me to move, luckily it is wedged against some furniture so will have to sit there till 10.30 when hubby gets home from work. Just glad it didn't smash and it wasn't a room with any of my babies in it.

wow, so pleased for you it didn't break. still a nightmare, hope you get it fixed ok!

Pouring with rain, blowing a gale here in south devon.
Glad we got the girls out earlier.
Poor ponies on dartmoor were trying to find some shelter today. Thats not easy on open moor.

Wind and rain here in South Manchester for about the last 2 hours almost.

Pretty breezy in the South East this morning, squally rain first thing. Lovely day the rest of the day and pretty quiet now..

Nappy weather here too in Swindon :(
I've had to put out my coal fire :-(
In weather like this there is a high risk of the chimney going up
blowing a gale and raining in Nuneaton

Really windy in Hants
Dogs are barking at every little noise
Not nice

It's hit kent tonight .....getting worse very wet and windy.
Orrible...

I'm not too far from Molly and Merlot, and just listening to the howling outside, it sounds pretty rough out there.
My stupid neighbour had a bonfire in a dish type thingy 2 metres from my fence and his french doors.
Then his car and mine two metres the other way, along with a boat.
Sparks going all over the place due to the wind and he kept feeding the fire with more wood :(
From time to time his kids came out with marshmallows on sticks to toast.
But seemingly no concern for any of the neighbouring homes or the cars.
Some people have no clue :(

I don't know what happened to us because we didn't get a thing!

We had terrible gales and rain last night, part of my garage roof this am, we live ina valley and the wind was howling down, and the electric was flickering on and off too!!

We had howling winds and rain last night. This morning it was really wet in the park and fields, still a bit windy but cold and sunny; snow forecast for tomorrow. :-D

Putting the fences back up took care of most of Sunday :-(

Well it didn't last all that long here in Manchester. Been calm all day today thankfully, unfortunately can't say the same for my dogs, not been a good day with them.

Snow, huh? Not here just pouring rain, I'm breathing the scent of soggy husky. :-(

It was blowing a gale last night around 02.00hrs when i went to bed after finishing work. This morning it is now calm(for the time being) and no rain currently. Though mr miserable grey clouds is over us...
Can't wait until tom, should be clear skies, sunny and cold!!! Sounds ideal after the past few days of sodden muddy ground.

We are in Somerset too and several days later I'm still searching for our dustbin lid - we didn't get it into the garage quick enough - and with the gusts we had it could be a mile away by now!!
> Wow, im in Exeter
Let me know if you find a stray dustbin lid !!

Well we are in Cheshire much more north than you guys, and on Saturday night on our way out we had to stop as someone's recycling boxes had blown into the middle of the road!! We had horrendous winds on Saturday night but its died down now. Hope you find your dustbin lid! :-)
