If he is wobbly on his feet, it may be worth not waiting until tommorow and phone the emergency vet tonight.

Hi, Sorry to hear that your puppy is unwell. If he is 'wobbly on his feet' then I would get him seen ASAP. Lots of puppies tend to get upset tummies when they go to there new homes caused by the stress of moving away from mum and siblings and something as simple as a change of drinking water (if moved to a different area) Are you feeding the same diet / amounts as the breeder did - it is best to stick with the same diet until pup settles in and don't give too many treats - I know you just want to spoil them rotten but it doesn't help their little tummies. Is he drinking? Offer plenty of little drinks of cool, boiled water and perhaps try him with a bland diet of boiled chicken or white fish with over boiled stodgy rice (made fresh for each meal) for a few days - 4 small meals throughout the day but its better to take him for your vet to see and see what he advises - he may give you some prescription food with added electrolytes to boost puppies fluid levels. Good luck and hope he's feeling better soon.

I, too would agree to starve for 24 hours and then start on a very bland diet of boiled chicken and rice. Did your vet know he had the runs when you took him for the injection? Its not usually advisable to give a sick puppy injections. Also I would check when and if he has been wormed. From past experience I know pups can be very sick with worms. Is his tummy rounded ie distended? that is a sign of worms also. I definately think a trip to the vets is in order before his next injection is due.

xx

Hi Mistymay

How did you get on at the vets today?

I,d be popping him to the vets before you do any starving he,s only a little mite yet.
He should be insured at least with the kennel club for the first six weeks and if you only got him new years eve this may still be just a bit of stress with his new home ,change of diet etc.
The dogs he,s playing with are they your own? I,d be very careful of letting him play with dogs outside your own property until he,s had all of his puppy jabs.
Hope he,s soon feeling better
Sharon
