This is a licensed pet shop owner (well a private house selling puppies from an outside unit up an unmade lane) she appeared at Southend County Court in 2004 subject to the Enterprise Act 2002 for selling sick puppies, she is now in contempt of court for selling sick puppies. All the puppies come from puppy farms in S Ireland.
The premises are called Hot Dog Kennels, licensed by Chelmsford Borough Council. Adverts can be found on Breedersonline (they have been advised of the situation but they have failed to remove the advertisements) and other online freead websites and freead papers. They have traded under various business names over the years but always from the same address although family members have had a dabble now and again by placing ads . The owner Loretta Toye sometimes refers to herself as Bastin (maiden name). Lots in the public domain about this trader also on BBC website Look East can be found by search engines also on puppyalert.googlepages.com

I watched it, it was quite short & it was awful. The way the seller said to an owner to bring back the dead puppy and she'd replace it, as if it were an electrical item that had gone wrong :-(
The undercover reporters got a 5 month old pug cross who was not ill but had an undershot jaw and was so under socialised she was terrified of everything. The BBC gave her in to Dogs Trust to rehome.
a lady came on here some months ago asking for advice re: this very woman that was featured.. I advised to go straight to Trading Standards, so I HOPE that she was one of the ladies featured on the programme with a complaint. This person should not be let near animals!
