Unfortunately where I buy my Tripe from, is having problems getting it, and the company is going to be out of action for 2 mths, possibly more, does anybody know of anyone who delivers in Scotland, were roughly 2 hours north of Edinburgh, I'm willing to travel to meet someone.
There is a few of us looking for Tripe, so it could be a big delivery!

Thanks
Fiona

Its Redcastles. I'm having problems with, they have no Tripe, the company that supply them, has went bust, so doesnt look like we will get Tripe for a while.

Ah I did wonder as when I used them they sometimes couldn't get things.

The last time I spoke with Durham Animal Feeds the guy said that he was looking into delivering to the North of Scotland. That was several months ago so he may have managed to get delivery arranged.

Landywoods does regular drop off close to the Forth Road Bridge too.

I have my raw meat delivered by Anglian and it arrives in perfect condition. I believe they would do deliveries further north than me, I am in Dundee

There are a few meat wholesalers in the Grampian area I'm sure as there are a couple of abotoirs (sp?) up here.  Have you tried putting meat wholesalers into yell.com?  I'm sure there was someplace in Inverurie.

I use Prize Choice tripe chucks and have just been on their website, you can buy direct from them with a minimum order of £50.

I also use Redcastles and although they have had problems with their supplier they are still delivering meat to me, albeit spasmodically. I was told by Redcastles that their supplier has changed hands and is waiting for paperwork to be 'rubber stamped' by DEFRA before they can trade, hence the hold ups. I was told that it should all be organised by the end of this month.

But I have been getting mine inbetween times from Anglian meat (prize choice) and if you go on their website and type in your postcode you will find a list of outlets that sell their produce. Or as mentioned above you can order direct from them.

Ditto, Just heard the same news today about Redcastles waiting for licence to be rubber stamped.

Just to add to the above subject, I have found another supplier but don't know what areas he delivers to in Scotland yet as I am awaiting confirmation from him. He runs the BRITBARF website and his service is called SCOTBARF. It may be worth asking him about your area to see if he can deliver or arrange a convenient pick up point.
