We have a champ show i want to attend. My boy is 24 months on the day of the second day of the show which we would be showing on. I assume i can go into yearling on this day in question?? I should know the answer but now doubting myself.

2:
With the ShCM and gaining points for this i have a quick question. On the form it doesn't stipulate that a certain number of dogs must be in the same class or even entered in the breed. I know with the JW this matters, whats the case with the ShCM as i have the form but there is no clarification on it.
Say for instance that there were only a few breed classes, i was on the only one entered and therefore get BOB, would i then get the points for this??

Yes to number 1. as it is the age to first day of the show.

To number 2. yes there does not need to be a certain number of dogs to gain the points.

Just another one, can't recall do results from champ shows go towards this or is it just open shows??

ShCM is Open shows only even classes without CC's at champ shows don't count.

Definately Puppy. This happened to me on Rory's birthday, and he went Best Puppy in Breed that day :)

Just to add Sue, although yes you get the ShCM point even if you are BOB out of only one, you do need to get a certain amount of points at Group level to claim the award. :-)

how does the ShCM points system work?

1 point for BOB, 1 for Group 4, 2 for Group 3, 3 for Group 2 and 4 for Group 1. Not sure how much for BIS and RBIS as we didn't get one of those! Puppy placings don't count. I expect someone's got a cunning link to the KC info about it...

That would be for the likes of BUBA  edited to say except thats a champ show. DUh
What I should have said is  it means a show that is just for Gundog breeds or Utility Breeds not an all group show.

BUBA Open yes :) not your breed club open show as that's a single breed show not a single group.
