My son ahs a 3 month old who is constantly chewing and trying to escape when he is crated (Not left for mega long times in there except overnight) His baby teeth have apparently worn down to the gum. is this likely to affect his 2nd teeth and when do they tend to come through, I cant remember. thnx

The poor pup is obviously terribly distressed by being left in the crate :(  The problem will need addressing or the pup will just do the same thing when its adult teeth are coming through.

To be fair, he does not cry too long when put to bed but is always chewing whenver he finds anything. They are trying to encourage him with softer toys and avoid hard stuff which might harm him more

he mite be having real bad teething pain . try teething gel or ice cubes. or a baby teether that go's in the fridge. the cold bars of the pen mite be why he is biting them

Thanks. Will pass that on. Just googled it and it looks as if hopefully next teeth should be ok

Wetting a tea towel or similar and freezing it is lovely for sore gums and wouldn't be very hard ;)  supervised of course ;)

Be careful if you use teething gel, Bonjela Cool has XYLITOL in it which can make dogs very ill ;)

i used to stick half a carrot in the freezer for half an hour and give it to my boy when he was teething. he loved it, and nice and soothing on his gums.
