Some mandarin in Whitehall(MOD) wants a boot up the a*s* Gurkhas these guys put their lives on the line for the UK(& have done for over 100 years)& are still waiting to get their just deserts for their bravery & courage by being allowed if they wish to settle in the UK

They are truly lovely guys as well. We have them camp on our land every year for the Oxfam Trailwalker. They invite us up to eat with them and so accommodating. It angers me that they don't have the same rights as us in the UK yet they fight for us... Its a cause which seems to be battling on for many years now.

Or if they were from the EU, whose residents can live where they like unhindered.

I've met a few & they spoke excellent English & were so polite. I also met a WWII veteran who had served with them in the Far East, they had so much respect for him especially the very dangerous duties they jointly had, that they gave him a ceremonial Kukri similar to the one in the picture & he told me it was his most treasured possession

hmm, this is an issue that infuriates me. they are astonishingly brave soldiers and should be given the respect and support that deserves.

This is typical of the treatment of the families of Gurkhas who have died fighting for the British Army
