Did anyone sell a male malamute to a family in perranporth?? I have just spotted a news item dated december, about a family from perranporth who took their male malamute and his whole litter (mother was a gsd!!!) to a pet service blessing in truro cathedral....the puppies are 4 weeks old!!!!!! Is it me????? :( :( :( :(

I wonder if it is a Cornish thing.  When I lived in Perranuthnoe as a child our local church had an annual blessing service.  We took our guineapigs and even the ploughman brought his pair of horses :-)  I suppose they are very young but they should have maternal antibodies and maybe they were kept in a box.

no they were definitely in a box......there was a photo of them held in kids arms...oh and yes....a phone number in case anyone wanted to buy one! The owner was spouting about "caring for animals" regards the church...so am penning my reply to the letters page already!!!

I read about it too Sam when I went to visit my mother over the Christmas period.  Makes me mad when we dog breeders are having such a hard time at the moment.  At my local primary school, one family have had a litter of puppies from their very much loved Jack Russell.  I dont have a problem with that, but I do see red when the bitch is being dragged to school everyday leaving her babies that are just over a week old at home.   The owner has a mentor in the local "Dog Warden"!!....enough said me thinks.

Maybe it was the ruddy same family who has breed from their Malamute for 3 out of 4 sucessive seasons,last litter adverised as ready last month.Grrrrr.And sold 3 litter brothers and sister to the same owner who never has had Mals before and can no longer walk them as surprise surprise can't control them.But they aren't from Perranporth!!!!!Was selling last litter as open to offers!!!Also in yesterdays Cornish Guardian 2 x 7month old dog and bitch Mals,no papers for sale at a low price.Flaming BYBs!!!!!
Don't know who it was but dont think mine will be going to church anytime soon - Would cause mayhem if all 4 and the pupster went!!!

Just wanted to add that there are Alskan Malamute x German Shepherds pups for sale in same paper that have been advertised in loads of places,mobile number.So maybe these are the ones that have been blessed.
