My 3 year old male Dobe was diagnoised with Lymphoma cancer..he showed no signs of illness except for weight loss & swollen glands. He started the treatment vincristine, and prednisone which seemed to work for just over a month but then all the nodes came back up so the vet changed the treatment to Doxorubicin in combination with prednisone. Things all seemed to be going well but last week his glands all came back up..he was given his treatment a day earlier than it was due but now 4 days later the glands haven't reduced in size if anything they may have got slightly larger.
Does anyone have any idea why this would be or experienced this before..he is fine in himself we're just extremely worried. 
I've heard that Fish Oil and Amino Acids can help strengthen the body...he already has fish oil capsule daily but I cant find out the doseage for the amino acid or which type of amino acid I would use as in Holland & Barrett there are quite a few different ones. I know his condition cant be cured but just want to help him as much as possible.
I'd be grateful for any info anyone can offer.

So sorry to hear that you have a dog with this. I lost my 11 year old in July after chemo for the condition, however, I would join Yahoo groups, Lymphoma heart dogs, there is a dog on there,(and others) that has been 3 years in remission. There is just so much info on there and people will be able to answer your questions and let you know about the different treatments that have worked for their dogs. It is such a worrying time and sometimes there are so many questions going round in your head and there seems to be no-one to answer them and help you feel your head is going to explode. Good luck, there is hope.

Thinking of you... its an awful disease.
My staffie had lymphoma and was given i life expectancy of 2-3 months
He did very very well on endoxana and preds and lived a month off 3 years
I also gave charlie milk thistle

Nothing to add except my real sympathy for you and your dog, my very best wishes for a good response to treatment.

I cannot offer any advice but my sister in laws GSP has been having chemo for two year and Sam is a very happy boy hope your boy improves soon
