Hi all,
I just wondered if you can give me a little advice as our pup, Khan, ES now 7 months is off his food and this is so unlike him.
On Wednesday the xmas tree was taken down and a few sprigs of pine needles fell off on route to outside and Khan ate a few! He has never been a fussy eater as previous posts will prove! He seemed fine and ate dinner as normal. Thursday he ate breakfast as normal but about half hour later he was sick, didn't make any fuss before hand so I cleaned it up and he seemed ok. When I came home from work he ate a small lunch just after 1 (in the process of phasing this out) seemed his usual self except he always has a chew whilst I eat my lunch but he wasn't particularly interested in it.
We went out for our usual walk at 3 although it was an extender lead walk as opposed to a run as we were going somewhere new with 'dogs on lead' rules so no excessive exercise. He had a fairly soft poo whilst out but sometimes this is normal on a run as likes to have fun first and I'm sure he leaves it til the last minute to go! He seemed quite happy in himself after but a bit tired. Ate dinner as normal.
Normal bedtime and morning routine followed but refused to eat any breakfast, lunch or treats and now dinner. Poos have also been very loose and now watery. He has only been in the garden today, no walk as he is obviously under the weather, has a little playfulness about him but quite lethargic. Not drinking as much as normal either.
We wondered if the pine needles had had an adverse effect on him and today we also caught him eating the honeysuckle in the garden a few times. Anyone else had similar problems regarding plants etc?
We will take him to vets in morning if no improvement.
All words of wisdom greatly received!
Many thanx
