Topic Dog Boards / Health / Back end failing and possible loss of sight

Hi can anyone help. My siberian  bitch of 8 years as had too many white blood cells for the last 2 years or so now. She as been on medication and she as improved lots. But just the last week she as gone down ill gradual. She as lost weight and just the last few days we are not too sure if she can see very well.
With her blood problem I didnt think it was an emergancy and was going to call my vet this coming week as she seemed fine in herself. But today she as fallen and her back end is very week.
She still seems fine in herselfe. Iam keeping a close eye on her. I called My vet today but she  is away untill tuesday. Does anyone know if this could be related to her blood problem and is there any cure. My vet as said she would be on medication for the rest of her life.
Any help thanks

I'd be thinking of the possibility of a brain tumour/cancer/stroke.
But only your vet would be able to test for these.

Thinking of you.

I wouldnt normally answer these post as I think its guess work and a vet is required ,I have no experience of this but would get your dog to the vets whichever vet is available from what little I do know white blood cells  elevates when there is a infection of some kind .The weakness in the back legs could be because your dog is weak rather than them failing , in fact it could be anything if it was my dog.... I would be there today.

The vet came straight out. We had Star PTS. With everything happening so suddenly It seems Star ad a stroke or maybe brain tumor. It was a sad sad time as she was still was bright and happy in herself. She even tried her best to chase the cat.
