I know that enter a limit show you must be a member of that particular club, but is there anything to stop me just entering one because it is local if i pay my membership fees as well as entry fee? reason i ask, i sent away an entry for a limit show for end of january as it is pretty local to where i stay, i included my membership fee, ticked the box etc. I then picked up a schedule last weekend for another limit show also nearby, but in the schedule there is an entry form, where there has to be 2 proposers before you can join. i cant remember if this was also in the first limit show i entered, and now im worried i wont be able to show at it, if i turn up on the day, i may give the secretary a call...

Generally they don't have the proposer but probably worth checking with the secretary.

I have seen that before Suzanne, you dont need to join the club, only pay the membership fee to enter the show.

Limited shows are usually only for members of that club, so you would have to be a member to enter. You don't have to be a member to enter the open shows though. Very rarely do you get a limited show that is open to non-members too.

If the first one didn't have a proposer and seconder then I wouldn't worry. When you turn up at the show you could check with the secretary. I quite often enter limited shows and join using the entry form. If they wanted you to have a propser and seconder they should make it clearer. :-)

thanks for replies guys. thats what i done with the first schedule (its the kirkintilloch limit show) ticked the membership box, and sent my cheque off for entry and member fee, just wanted to do it as they have a class for my boy and its local. not sure whether to do the second one or not,may phone the secretarys of both shows, just to double check the situations.
