Hi everyone, well without going into too much detail, I have finally been joined by our new baby large breed, I was searching for her for a very long time, went to see several litters from several different breeders but in the end this girl chose me!! If anyone wants anymore details please PM me. I am planning to take her to ringcraft in the very near future but my question is how old do they have to be to commence her classes. She is now 11 weeks old and had all her jabs. (Oh, does she need Kennel Cough?) Thanks

There's no reason why you can't put what breed, so what is she?

At our Ringcraft they will take baby pups as soon as they have their injections.  At that age they just sit and watch and take everything in and get a bit of socialisation :) They take part when they are ready :)

Personally I have the KC protection for pups as it can hit them hard if they get it ;)  but best be guided by your breeder ;)

Forgot to say - Congrats on your new pup and WHAT BREED???? :-D

I like getting pups to ringcraft as soon as 2nd jag is done.  Sit and watch first time and then slowly get them up into the ring.

You're being very mysterious about her breed, so much so you've got us all guessing and wondering..
Can we start a new thread by guessing what breed she is?? Lol.

Hope all goes well with you and your new pup.
I have to say that KC has been doing the rounds in the country in the latter part of last year, not sure if its really clearing up yet. I have my boy done and with all these dogs interacting very closely together i wouldn't risk it for my dogs not to have it. Its your decision though. Speak to the breeder and vet if your concerned.

If I recall correctly, the OP has Great Danes.

Ooh ok thanks for that. I was going to guess a Newf, way off the mark there then.

Was not sure if I could mention the breed!! (Doh) She is a beautiful Harlequin Great Dane!! I tried to upload a picture of her but too many pixies or something like that!!!

Ooh, I like Harlequins. And you can start ringcraft as soon as she's had her shots. :-)
