Hi All. My girl who finished 16 months of treatment for GME in Sept hasn't been too well recently with her COPD. Over the last week she started gagging at the end of her coughing episodes. I spoke to my vet today thinking she'd just say it was most probably a sore throat or something, but I was shocked when she said it was possible relapse of the GME. So my girl is going into vets tomorrow for various neuro tests. I'm gutted. I don't know what I'll do if it has returned. They can restart the chemo  which I think would be life long. It would be 4 injections over 2 days ie every 12 hrs. Her neck is already rigid with no scruff left from the treatment she's had. I'm just hoping & praying its not what I dread. Please pray for her. She means the world to me.

Hi. Great news for my girl. All her neuro tests were ok so the problem is not the return of her GME. Thank goodness. Vet thinks its an inflammatory thing in her lungs or naso/throat. She did find what could be inflammation or a tumor under her tongue. Would need aneasthetic to take a biopsy & if it was malignant there is no treatment anyway, so i have decided not to go down that road. My girl's prednisolone has been increased & she's on anti B's for10 days. I just want her time to be good & happy. I know what the pred will do in the end but it seems the only thing that keeps her stable. Thank you so much for all your good wishes. This site saves the mind sometimes !
