
I too have had problems with Epson. and I have tried 5 of them, they do good work when it does work.
I now have a Canon IP4500 and can't fault the way it works and the work it produces, prints DVDs as if it enjoys it, the Epson used to spit them out umpteen times before it would print one with reluctance and the same went for anything other that the most normal of paper.
Both the Epson and the Canon print quality work but for the special photo you need to use a professional printer; even if you pay a fortune for your ink and card you can't reproduce an image of real quality but for proofs and keepsakes most printers will give a moderate performance and most will print direct from the camera or the camera card if that is your need.
