My question is during this Credit Crunch....what will you either be giving up like driving :)...... OR...........Taking up like walking :).......due to the crunch

So far we have been lucky enough to escape the consequences, ie; still all in work!

Same here :-) but have a few friends who have had to re-adjust/cope with a partner losing a job, tough times :-(

But we have been lucky so far.

I've been lucky, taking a year out of uni I got a years contract and came home!  so very lucky and saving enough to aid my final uni year.

Boyfriend was made redudant and struggled to find a job but luckily with no huge money commitments (lives with me and my parents so only pays small rent to a very forgiving mum! :-D )

So luckily nothing given up here although I'm trying to walk more as at uni I walked EVERYWHERE and now....well I'm lazy and don't neeed to carry my weekly shop across a city!

I had to give up my job 3 years ago to look after my autistic son, we had to sell our house and everything then, luckily things have turned out fine for us so fingers crossed.

Lost my job on 20th December and I was the main breadwinner - oh dear!!  Sooooooooo - taking up dog grooming, home boarding, and giving up lots!! eating out, kids drum lessons, clothes(new!!) - god knows.

still as hard as it is there are people with sick or disabled loved ones so the loss of income in comparison is nothing.  We wont starve and I'm sure wont be homeless - and neither will my three dogs,

so to all of those suffering with the credit crunch I wish you all well for good changes in 2009 - and for those of you coping with sick or disabled love ones my admiration goes out to you all,

Happy New Year

I'm lucky as my line of work is always in need of more people to help and I have in a sad way became fairly well off so credit crunch or not its not had any effects on me and my life style.
This year is going to be tough for many as prices increase and companies lay people off but I do get mad when I see government bail outs to car manufacturers but none to to the family run companies or the like. I also get mad when banks run into trouble due to the greed of directors like Anglo Irish who's director needed loans of over 80 million euros for some sort of fantasy life style and then they simply leave and leave nothing but a mess behind them.
