my old girl was admitted to the vets to day to find out what was causing her abdomen to swell and after a x-ray they found she had ingested a sowing needle and has fluid in her abdomen and also peritonitis (sp) she is now in surgery.
she is a 9yr old rottie the best you could wish for.
i am so worried this is the second GA since September when she had closed pyo.
please pry for my baby

My thoughts are with you both at this time, keep your chin up, i am sure she will be fine, she is a little fighter i am sure :)

I'm sure she will be fine and home with you for Xmas.

I'm so sorry. Hoping your girl is well again soon.
well it is very good news she only had miner peritonitits but the needle (if thats what i was) was in two peases they have been removed and stiched up she is coming round from that GA now and we have to phonr later to see if she can come home today.
she has been very lucky and is obviousely not ready to leave us either, i cant wait to hug and kiss her again.
thatnk for all your kind thoughts.

Let us pray for a speedy recovery, good to hear the operation went well, and she is now on the mend.
(((((hugs))))))

How is your girl doing? have been thinking about you over xmas.
hi she is fantastic she has suprized both the vets and us she recovered very quickly from the GA and the vet said she should have been very ill from the amount of fluid in her abdomen but showed very little sign of illness just a little off colour but i just knew she was not right and if i had not pushed it they would not of operated on xmas eve.
she was still a little sleepy on xmas day but is back to her waggy bum old self already and you would not think she had been through a life thretening operation just a couple of days ago.
thank you everyone for your support when you are home alone its good to talk with people that understand you worries.
THANK YOU
