Is anyone working new years eve? Because i managed to get that off if i worked christmas eve lol

At B&Q I had to work both :-( Sucked majorly.  And they only had one Christmas CD that they played on a loop.

But New Years Eve in Scotland is a Public Holiday so I get it off now that I am in the Public Sector. WOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I love christmas songs, but this year for some reason i havent been playing them as much as i usually do, nor have i enjoyed them that much, maybe it goes as you get older, i dont know lol

I wish they would make New Years Eve here a public holiday, that would be brilliant!!

I just feel like doing nothing ha ha, has anyone else managed to do any work yet? Been in 50 minutes and filed 1 piece of paper and thats only cos it was bugging me lol!

I've been off since Friday.  It's great.  So far this morning I've dropped baby at nursery, been to shops and bought another Christmas present for my mum from my dad (do fathers ever progress and do their own Christmas shopping???), wrapped the last of my presents and my dads, put new photos into frames and am just about to go for a facial.  Will then pick baby back up and come home to husband who is ill in bed with man flu.

We have just been talking about that at work, how my friends bf hasnt even shopped for food yet and is working today, so wont get chance, so she had to go last night ha ha! Then my bf hasnt even bought my pressie yet and i have just had to ring him to wake him up so he can go town!! They are SO unorganised!!! Although saying that, my dad is quite good at it... so there is hope! lol

Ohhh and man flu, dont get my started there ha ha!! On the other hand, i hope he recovers for Christmas, as thats no good

I'm working and they've given me 1/2 an hour off so I get to go at 4pm! :-( They do give us a week off until the 2nd though, so I guess I shouldn't complain ;-)

All the delivery notes are done the driver is out on his rounds just have to wait till he gets back hopefully around lunchtime and if we're lucky the boss may let us shoot off early, otherwise it's all the way through till 4.15pm.

Think there could be a riot on the shop floor if that happens though as the music and chocs are flowing well :)

Same here, i do actually need to get something done now though, otherwise ill mess myself up for January beginning lol!

But someone from HR has gone to the butie shop, so i have ordered a sausage and egg buttie and just waiting for it now, that will make my morning that will :-D

Gosh all the way to the end of the day, i thought 2 ish was bad :( Oh well think of all the holidays after you have, i have to be back in on the Monday, but then i am off then till the 5th, but only cos i booked it off lol

not me! :(  Im the original bah humbug.....dont do xmas atall. On top of that my best friend has split from her chap so is flying in to stay with us over xmas (that will be cheery!) and i have to go to the airport to get her later today....plus i have a bug starting and reckon its going to kick in properly tomorrow....plus my mother arrives tomorrow :( :( and we dont really get along after about 4 hours (she stays 3 days!!)....oh yes....and to top it all we have a litter of pups at the pooey stage, and 2 neighbours coming in for xmas lunch...so all in all......roll on boxing day!!!

Poor you, I sympathise my puppies are a the pooey stage but only tiny poos compared to your little darlings.  I am just finishing up my Internet stuff and the computer will go off in two hours and give me eyes a well earned rest.

I decided to give myself three days off over Christmas and hang the consequences.

actually a "mum sitter" and a chef would be better than a puppy sitter and then i could sit and play with the puppies all over xmas instead of having to justify to a disapproving mother with her usual "not another  hound" and rolling eyes!! :(
Just to add to it we also have someoine coming the day after to get their hound tested for a work permit, and then the puppy owners start making their xmas visits to see their babies and bring them xmas presents! The joys of xmas!! At least I can escape out to the cuddly bundles...6 weeks is def the cutest stage.....but....oh I forgot, they all need worming boxing day!!! Maybe that will send my mum home early LOL

At work too, everyone else has left although one of my doctors has a clinic this afternoon!!!  Got a bad chest infection and feeling terrible.

Oh dear i hope you improve throughout christmas etc, i was off work the other week with a bug, it is sweeping the nation, just hope you havent got that, i am sure you will be fine and christmas will take your mind off it :)
