My dogs have been away (on 'holiday' with their old dog walker) and they have come back with fleas.

I usually buy Front Line and order it from vet.uk however, Xmas post is over now so i can't get it and I really wanted to buy it today.

All my local supermarkets sell Bob Martins and i've been reading some horror stories - I'm not sure whether to get it or not...

Anyone got any advice, or use Bob Martins or can suggest another name available in supermarkets?  Any help appreciated..

Supermarket/pet shops stuff is about as much use as a chocolate teapot.  You would be better to buy from your Vet this time and get the problem sorted.

On top of all the other problems, are you still happy with your dog walker?

Sadly my local vets cost about £25 - £30 to see them and I don't get paid til after Xmas, I haven't got the money to take them there and then afford the product.  I've been using my flea comb and tea tree oil in water.  I'm not sure if Pets at home do frontline, might try them.

Yep - did you read that i'd made a mistake.  We are all fine again, bless him, he took it very well!

If your dogs have been seen by the vet recently you might just be able to get Frontline without a consultation. You can also get ordinary Frontline Spot-on (not Combo) from good pet stores.

If you've been relatively recently, I've known some Vets allow you to buy Frontline without seeing your dog.

I use essential oils as a deterent but remember for every flea that you find on your dog, there are another half a dozen waiting in the carpet! :)  So if you have them in the house, then they need to be treated.  The longer you leave it, the more you'll have in your home. :(

You can buy spot on from some shops, but I would only use the spray.

To treat your home the normal bug and ant killer from DIY stores works as well as the "home flea spray" that costs a bit more.

Try your local saddlers.  I can get Frontline at mine - just need to sign for it.

A local chemist stocks it near me - one of the smaller chains.
