Such a shame they are only listing eye screening for CKCS... the least important test IMO
It could be a useful tool if expanded.

Wow - I've just looked up my young girl's hip score and I hadn't even received the score back yet, but have just found it on that database!

Now that's service ... !! (Hip score is 9 too, so am chuffed with that.)

It's still a work in progress, when first set up it only had reg numbers and stud book numbers.

Oooh, just had a look.
Our girls' hips and elbows are on there but not eyes, wonder why?
- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 23.12.08 08:58 UTC
My youngest girls eye score is not on there yet!  Unfortunately Cocopop it will depend upon when your girls eyes were done, if recently they will be on there if not you will either have to have them re-done or hopefully the eye specialist will be able to resign the form.

Only one of my gang has had her eyes done for the gonioscopy recently, the results of which aren't on there yet.

I think they were done around June?
- By Polly [gb] Date 23.12.08 12:22 UTC
My dog Arthur had his eyes rechecked in October but only the 2007 info is there. I am assuming that this will be updated at the time it is printed and sent out in the BRS.

What happens if say 2 registered dogs, in different breeds, have the same KC name?

I played with it a bit last night and according to the website, Sheba's sire is a Yorkshire terrier  and he should be a GSD.  Possibly 2 or more dogs reg with the same name?  I don't have his KC reg number as Sheb's was a rescue.  No test results on the sires side either going back 5 gens, pretty much what I thought :-(

Eye test results will only go on their if it's a scheduled breed. We have our Beardies eyes tested, but not being a "schedlued" breed with known problems, the results are not published unfortunately.

They can't every name has to be unique, though a name can be re-used after 10 or is it 15 years, as long as the dog hasn't gained entry into the stud book I think.

We are a breed on the schedule so not sure why they're not there.

Mine that were done in September aren't on there.  Not too happy as will want the details of parental tests on my upcoming litter.

Worked fine for my lot-
even our pup who was hereditarily clear of L2 and HC was listed as such and it gave her parents health details also

Hi B, Sheb's sire was born in 1993 and I do have his details from the Kennel Club breed system but that was a few years back.  He wasn't in the stub book although none of the dogs in his linage were particularly well known apart from a couple in the 5th Gen.  That said, I found a few on there (these are the old Alsatian lines BTW).

I don't believe this; I just tried again with Sheb's sire - Super Spot - and this time I got a Spaniel (Cocker).
- By Brainless [gb] Date 27.12.08 13:49 UTC
That doesn't surprise me as the names can be re-used if the dog hasn't been in the stud book, but it is still 10 years or more..
- By Spender Date 27.12.08 13:53 UTC
Does that mean that the health tests of dogs (with names that are re-used) won't be on record either?
- By Brainless [gb] Date 27.12.08 15:03 UTC
I would imagine they all will be the date of birth of the dog should make it clear.  Why not try it with a re#used name.  Also you have to bear in mind that health tests have only been published for the last 15 years or so on the actual registrations.

Well, that was depressing lol!  No results found for Soli's parents or grandparents, none for any of the dolbadarn dogs in her pedigree and so far, none for any of the others.

Can't say I'm all that shocked mind you - from speaking to her last owner and her brother's old owner, I've gotten the impression Soli's breeders were hobby breeders (and not brilliant at that level IMO).
