My GSP is 3 in March he is still such a puppy. He is adorable
BUT
Do they ever grow up?
- By Gunner [gb] Date 18.12.08 12:32 UTC
NO!
- By CherylS Date 18.12.08 13:14 UTC
ditto! lol - I was told that they may slow down if arthritis sets in.

People often mistake my 5 yr old for an adolescent.

I am glad about that...My boy is quite a bit below standard size which makes him look like  a pup as well.  He is an amazing dog.

Last night I put up the crimbo decorations. This morning he was standing on the stairs growling, playful, I expected it to be him trying to make the cats play but he was growling at the garland from around the front door, he wanted it play with him and he stole rudolph  x2 and took them to his basket.
What an amazing gun dog :-)

My 10 year old munster is still a pup (or at least she thinks she is ;-) ) The only thing slowing her down is the extra weight she is trying to lose (try telling her that! :-) ) Her aunt died at 12 years old. The vet thought she was only 2. :-D

Does she still try to curl up on your lap??

- By LindyLou [gb] Date 18.12.08 18:34 UTC
My 6 1/2 year old male does that :-) He now weighs about 32 Kgs, so not a lightweight! I can't watch telly when he wants his cuddle ;-) His mum never has. She would rather curl up on my feet :-D

Thats both my gsps fav position, millie moo is very clever at pushing poor arnie out of the way to muscle in on my lap. As for growing up, even my dear old departed boy at 11 was still accused of being a baby purely on his antics when out off the lead!

I have just had to take down the evil garland from the front door. GSP can not progress down the corridor except flat on his belly and he was checking every 5 mins too see if it had  moved!
I was knackered and the other animals were getting restless.

He barked  until the offending article was back in the cupboard and now he is keeping guard in case it escapes ;-)

My hero !!

Don't they make you laugh at times :-D

I haven't put mine up yet, that's todays job now that my daughter is here ;-) She is taller than me by a good 4 inches so guess who goes up the ladder ;-) My dogs have never bothered with decorations, but I got new ones this year so we'll see...

Haven't got Pointers but my almost 6 year old Spanish boy still acts like a pup, he's a nutter!

Hi
Dunno what breed lines you guys have or if you already know, but just to say that one of the stalwarts of the breed, Ann Gill (Birkenwald) sadly died the day before yesterday.  :-(

She was an amazing source of information;  she could memorize and recite breed lines going way back to the 1800s if you just gave her the name of a dog.  I think they broke the mould after her!
