I have a six yr old bitch in season at the moment - doyou consider this too old for a first litter? My vet has advised it possibly could be. I would appreciate any info you have to help me decide. I would really like her to have a litter but not at any risk to her. Time is running out so please reply as soon as poss.

I really wouldn't have a first litter at that age, I feel she is too old and the risks too great. In addition, if she is already in season it does not give you any time to check out the dog you might like to use etc.
