>My breeder says it may have been her waters breaking on Monday or it could have been her anal glands
I have heard (but thankfully not experienced!) that there is no mistaking the smell of anal glands emptying - and people usually describe it rather more strongly than weird.
Not to belittle the breeder of your bitch, but I assume she is on the end of the phone rather than available in person? For myself, as well as obvious concern for the bitch, I'd rather someone experienced actually examined her to see if there are indeed any puppies to come or if it's a phantom - better that than hang around on tenterhooks until Friday!

Edited to add that, like all posters on this forum, I hope everything goes swimmingly and you end up with a healthy bitch and healthy puppies. Please don't be scared of this forum, you will not find a better place for advice and support.
