I too remember when the only allowance made for puppies' diets was that the biscuit was broken up smaller. Funny how they frequently lived to ripe old ages barely seeing fresh meat - it was too expensive for people to eat every day, let alone the dog!

Far from being "ingredient readers" those of us who take the time to understand
What affect these ingredients have on our pets should be able to comment when some ask advice on this   . For those who are happy with the if it isn't broken don't fix stance then by all means comment on  posters who ask what bag  looks better Hills or  Iams.
After all if there was only one dog food in the world how many dogs would starve? This
Will be my last post as I suffered a slight stroke last month and typing is becoming
A tad tiresome and I have to lessen the time I spend in front of the screen. To some of you a blessing, I wish all of you happy walking and as the great man himself said "I may not have always agreed in what you have said but I will defend the right for you to say it."-JO English

A good adage for us all :) and whilst I have not always agreed with all your points ;) you are always a honest poster and never nasty.

Hi Jo,

I'm very sorry to hear you've been poorly and hope you make a full and speedy recovery.  Much of what you write makes sense to many - I for one hope it's not long before you're back on form on the forum :)

best wishes, Teri x
