I had a few bags left and was trying to use them up whilst looking for / in the transition to a new brand, but think I may have to give up. Mine are also picking around the f4d and the poor output and gurgling tummies are continuing (only on day 4 of changeover) after three years of no wind and clean bowls it's quite a difference.

Their website is rubbish. Specially now they've put moving snowflakes on ... they completely stuffed up my computer :-( They are very good on the phone though!

Nova, The link I gave shows the contents if you scroll down the page.
If you want to buy click on shop and you will see the prices. The website is a bit clunky but is all there, I have just found my way round by trial and error. They are very nice people to speak to and in my recent order sent me 2 Xmas crackers with dog treats in as a gift for my dogs. They are planning a new flavour early 2013.
I think they are more knowledgeable about dogs and food than they are about websites, but I know which is most important to me.
I'm still in the process of switching to Simpsons but am very happy so far. Dogs eating it well (despite usually being picky) and 'output' good. Pleased with service and breeder prices too. I'm feeding salmon and potato. Only time will tell whether it suits long term I guess, but a positive start.

Clumberjack, that's nearly identical to the email they sent me when I complained.
My dogs are raw fed but both bitches, when in whelp, have refused raw and preferred dry. I oblige with F4D and the pups are first weaned on the puppy f4d. However, this time mum refused to eat much of it and the pups were squitting everywhere when I weaned them. I took poo samples to the vets I was so worried about them as it wouldn't stop and they pooped all week like this. All tests came back negative so the only thing it could have been was f4d food. The raw I ordered arrived on the weekend and within 24hrs they were back to 'normal' and have been ever since.
They asked me for the barcode and batch no. but on the plain white bag (had ingredients nothing else) there was NO code or number anywhere.
Won't be using it again
Hi there, i am not an expert but i hv been told that salmon can carry a bacteria that whether cooked or not, is NOT harmful to humans but CAN be deadly to dogs. I believe that boiled chicken and rice or boiled chicken and cooked carrots is good for a dog that has an easily upset tummy. In all fairness my two get tinned food with mixer biscuits and get a dog treat for breakfast n another in the evenin, its very rare that their poo ends up bein sloppy. I hope you find a suitable diet for yr little one. X

Not just Salmon but any anadromous fish (fish that swim upstream to breed) can be infected with a parasite called Nanophyetus salmincola. In the main this parasite is relatively harmless. The danger occurs when the parasite itself is infected with a rickettsial organism called Neorickettsia helminthoeca, it's this microorganism that causes 'salmon poisoning' which is actually Rickettsial disease.
But!
The instance of this are on the American West coast, as the Organism's Vector ( to the Salmon ) is a snail and the snail is incident to this part if the States.
I'd be interested to know of cases in the UK??
>and I understood cooking did render the Salmon safe
Not just cooking but freezing too:
The Seafood Network Information Center (US) advises: "Cooking fish to an internal temperature of 140*F will kill all fish nematodes and tapeworms. Normal cooking procedures generally exceed this temperature."
About freezing, the information center advises: "Parasites become a concern when consumers eat raw or lightly preserved fish such as sashimi, sushi, ceviche, and gravlax. When preparing these products, use commercially frozen fish. Alternatively, freeze the fish to an internal temperature of -4*F for at least 7 days to kill any parasites that may be present. Home freezers may not be cold enough to kill the parasites."
