I wonder if anyone can help me.

I've pretty much decided on  a miniature poodle for my next dog, but I'm having some trouble locating a good breeder.

Firstly, I've met some really wonderful mini poodles and some pretty unpleasant ones, I was wondering if anyone knew any lines to avoid or to look for.

Secondly, I know it's shallow but I really want a brown one, and all the breeders I can find seem to just breed black. I would consider a black bitch if it was the right temperament, but don't want to rule out finding a lovely breeder of brown mini poodles first!

I'm a bit lost as to where to look to be honest, I've only ever had rescues before, so I'm determined to do everything right. I wont tell you how long I've been looking at different breeds for!
