Today I went to pet store to stock up on Degu food.
I noticed Bozita canned dog food made in Sweden in Reindeer and Elk flavours.
I bought one can of Reindeer 635g for 99p to try.
My two veteran Pharaoh's had half a can each with their Laughing Dog complete this evening.  They both licked their dishes clean.

I'd never heard of these flavours being available in UK before!

It was discussed here a while ago, maybe as long as a year ago -all the ingredients were listed etc as well and I seem to remember the percentages of meat were very small. It's very common in Sweden for people to feed elk meat to dogs if they (the owners) are hunters, when they bring a whole elk home there's far too much meat for one family alone so they feed their dogs on it as well. If you do a search you should find the thread. Reindeer meat you buy  in Swedish supermarkets for sandwiches, just like you would with turkey or ham here. It's all meat available cheaply in large quantities so perhaps not so strange it ends up in dog food.
