Hi can anybody tell me what the current law for dogs and public recreation grounds are? Ie does the dog have to be on a lead all the time or can they be off lead? There are no swings or play equipment its basically a large feild with a football pitch in the middle which is used by the local football ass on a regualr basis (dont use it when there using it). At the moment there is no signage about dogs only to clean it up. Any advice would be helpful

i would imagine it depends entirely on who owns the ground and individual councils by laws.

If there is no sign stating otherwise then I'd assume your dog can be off lead :)
