I thought Tosas were on the Dangerous Dogs list and couldn't be bred from? If this is the case how is this dog 6yrs old and legal in the UK? Assuming this dog is in the UK (and you all know what they say about assumptions!!)

To my knowledge, there was only one Tosa ever bought into the UK and as they are covered under the 1991 DDA, I would be very surprised if it is still with us.
So I think it is safe to assume that this dog is not in the UK :-)
Can anyone offer any help to this guest?

As we're now assuming this dog isn't in the UK could it be hot weather that's caused these seizures? If that's the case then would keeping the dogs temperature down and stopping him from lying out in the sun help?
I'm sorry guest, but I'm grasping at straws here - I hope your vet is able to help you and you find out what's wrong (if anything) with your boy.

Yes, I think I can help. There is somthing that can make a dog collapse, I will have to trawl thru the internet to find it but I will. I am just catching up with todays stuff as I have been busy, but I have read of it. Give me some time & I will try to find it for you.

could you be in the usa??? no-one in the uk will have any experience of tosa as theyre not legal over here, sorry anyway to hear of your problems with yours, :(
When my pups were recovering from parvo (6mths later approx) the male all of a sudden collapsed while out on a walk in the field with me & his litter sister. I picked him up & he recovered in a couple of mins. By the time we got home he was OK. but tired & slept all day. Never happened again, but somewhere else I saw a similar prob & posted saying what happened to my pup & found out it could be some sort of........ don`t know can`t find where the post was, but I do remember others talking about sudden collapse of dogs.
