Sorry for the shout but one of my kids were looking on a website for pups earlier and this is what I saw

"beautiful female cavalier king charles 15 mth old she is blenheim colour and is dl reg, has had one litter and was a great mum great with children and other dogs first to see will buy £400"

this person I have reported on several occaisions but nothing seams to be done about him.  He buys and sells constantly, breeds then gets rid over the last year e has registerd at least 7 litters with different dogs.

Have you reported him to the Local Authority as if he has bred more than five litters in any 12 month period he will require a breeding license.  It might not stop him breeding though but it will mean he will be under at least some scrutiny which he may not welcome, such as the Inland Revenue.

do you know which dept at the council, the other thing that really annoys me is none of them work and are claiming everything they can

and i believe the tax office website have an anonymous tax evasion reporting scheme......i would shop them to that as well!!

That advert could be read as "Cavalier bitch -guaranteed to have heart problems by the age of 4, may be dead by 6, will cost you a fortune in vets bills and will produce pups the same with the added attraction of Syringomyelia!"

To add to this post.....................a bit of a horror story here. A man brings a van with puppies and meets people in a particular street to hand them over for the pre arranged sum.
It has been checked with local customs and animal welfare folk and there is nothing that can be done to stop him.
He brings them over on the ferry, does no home check, nothing, no vet checks or proper pedigrees. Labradoodles etc...........why do people still buy these?

Because there is no law against dealing in dogs though of course he needs to pay tax. 

Well, I dont know how they could police that...It is a different tax regime here to UK and they have established through customs that he isn't 'selling' as such......

So you mean he is just delivering, and someone else is being paid?

Possibly.....I do know that authorities are aware and unable to do anything to prevent it.
I dont even know who has purchased them. I just know of the situation.
