My head is covered with scabby healing over cuts and I have scratches across the top of my eyebrows that are still kind of red looking.  Itty Bitty Kitty, our once feral and I shouldn't tell you, in light of another running cat post, but she is black, jumped on my head while in bed last night.  She had all the hooks out too and really hurt me.  Bitty is very territorial and does not like our other three cats.  I belong to her though, along with Jet, and the OH thinks that in the dark of the night she mistook my grey hair for Blondie, who was nearby.  She had snuggled up between us and I reached out and gave her a couple of pets when KAPOW, she let me have it.  It makes me feel better than she seems quite abashed.   I yelled out and she spent the rest of the night huddled at the foot of the bed and even forgo her breakfast this morning, till I came down to reassure her.

Don't worry it doesn't put me off ! My sister had two ferral cats Tog and Pippin. Tog was the grumpiest cat that I have ever known :rolleyes::rolleyes: He hated me and would never let me go near him. He also hated Mars and Min and Min eneded up with a great big scar on her nose because she got too closed one day :rolleyes: She only wanted to play but Tog didn't see it that way :D

Ouch!!!! In my experience black mogs are either one of two extremes; really friendly or really difficult, there's no in between.

Our ex-feral moggie hisses as soon as he sees anyone but is then quite happy to be picked up and cuddled if he knows you. He is a weird wildcat colour :D . We have had two black cats, the first was a stray we got from the cats home and she was the most beautiful, best tempered, cuddly cat I've ever had, the other we got as a kitten and she was the cat from h*ll, she would lie on your knee then go nuts, scratching and hissing for absolutely no reason. I know exactly how you feel because I still have the scars on my arm from that cat 14 years later - she was just weird and never sorry for what she had done. Certainly agree with what Marianne says above! :D

Bitty LOVES me and Jet.  She is pretty fond of the OH too, though he is afraid to pick her up.  It's usually just the other cats she fights with.  She has never attacked a person before but would cause damage if trying to get away in fright or defend herself.  I guess I've forgiven her but I apparently do look rather beat up; yesterday someone said to me, "what happened to you?"
