was baking here too at 10.20 this morning..phew thankfully cooling down a little now..

In quarantine for a litter at the moment, so wasn't entered and didn't go for a look see.

However pleased that not entered etc, far too hot for showing Boxers, mine enjoyed mixture of sunbathing
and lying in the shade being lazy :D

I,ve been trying to get onto Higham website for results but page is unavailable, I don,t get to many shows but always like to see the results.

:d  I've been trying too but it just won't let us in to today's results.  Shame because they are usually up early and I'm off out now and would of liked to have seen who won etc. in my breed.

I think we all like to have a nosey at our breed's results even if we aren't
showing for whatever reasons..

Hopefully they will be up soon to put us all out of suspense! :D

Still no results at 17.34.  I left at 1.30 and BOB still hadn't happened so I'm keen so see the results.  Baking hot but my boy and I had a lovely day despite getting VHC - he moved like a  dream but obviously not enough for the judge.  Ah well, another week, another judge eh!

Didn't know you'd changed breed Diane!  Gundogs are tomorrow & I don't know when Toys are.  Will text rachel if we do anything, but shouldn't hold your breath.  Sure Terri will be in touch if she does anything.  Just hope it cools down a little - bit hot even for maddogs!

Nope it wasn't :d

We went to the Ch show didn't take any dogs, but met up with friends that was showing.
Very very hot day! the ice cream van was making a killing!!

Lots of reports however of dogs being left in vehicles, some had left them in cars or vans with boots or windows open but it was really too hot to leave dogs unattended.
We did witness two dogs tied to a fence with no water, no owners and one of the dogs was tangled up in its lead, they had a little shade put the sun was moving on to them, we managed to untangle the dog and expressed our concerns when the owner finally returned.

But all round a good day, it was a dog lovers heaven,,,,,,, :D :D

because of the bad weather they have had over the weeks the toilets are near the entrance and are just one hut for girls and one for boys! the queues for the loo seemed never ending!!!

I gave up on going to the loo and ended up not going till we got to fleet services! LOL

No bushes handy then? :D

good thats what i like to hear may wear my new shoes then haha! well i did think to loos may be like that from looking at the map will definantly use them wisely!

Anyone going down the M3 tommorrow, there is an overnight closure tonight between I think 4a and 6.  I thought the sign said 10pm tonight until 8am tommorrow, however i can't seem to confirm this on internet - however all teh big signs warned of it all teh way down today

I think it said 10pm until 6am.  The loo situation was very bad, there is a wooded area at the far end of the tents though

toilets are few and far between!
worth a walkover to the toilets behind tent 14 otherwise a long... long wait in the only other toilets by the entrance.

Traffic crawling ...really bad we saw a tailback for at least 4 mile going into lyndhurst plus other hot spots ..so give yourself loads of time.

Or sneak out to caravan park! ;)

today was so hot took 5 hours to get there. almost decided to turn around and go home.  Drenched my boxer bitch when we got there.  Very small classes for boxers.  looking after my dogs and forgot about myself and have got some serious sunburn. Ali come away with a second and is happy at home celebrating with a big bone! :-)

With the sunburn I'm in blisters from last week, this weekend I'm covering up well.....

you need to get yourself some banana boat Aloe Vera gel,
you can buy it in Tesco's or Boots etc.

It's wonderful for sunburn!
It looks like green hair gel, but it's very cooling.

I always have a bottle of sun cream for the humans in the show bag. :D

I had suncream, but forgot to apply!  I hope the weather will be nice for the Welsh.

I didn't go to Bournemouth as was working this afternoon and I have friday afternoon off work so I can go to Wales. Couldn't have 2 afternoons off this week. (I work 3 afternoons + a Sat evening)
Anyway no Pharaoh classes but greyhound classes without c.c.'s
My greyhound pup's litter sister won best puppy in hound group and best puppy in show. So look out for her photo in the dog papers.

i thought the greyhound BOB was rather nice....as we are talking about greyhounds!!!

I see in the AVNSC Toy or Hound that Bloodhounds got Best bitch & reserve best dog.
I checked to see how many Pharaohs were entered and how they did.

toilets were a DISASTER!!!!!!

really? the ones i used were ok. clean as could be expected and plenty of loo roll!

The ones I used were cleanish, but........................there was barely any water to wash hands, just a trickle from only 1 tap, the other didn't work at all and no paper towels/dryers to dry hands after just loo roll

sounds horrible!

I did well with my Affenpinscher-she got the BCC-her second.  We stayed in the New Forest for a few days-rented a small one bed place-cost a bomb as we had to return two days early due to Welsh Kennel Club and wanting to depart from home- However who cares as we had a super time-the Red Wine saw quite abit of me over the last few days !!
