Has anyone got one of these?  I want to buy one for my mum and dad's ruby wedding anniversary now that they have a grandchild they want to show off and was wondering how it works.  Can you copy photos from your computer to the memory card and stick it in, or do you have to put the memory card directly in from the camera?

Thanks for your help.

I have one! You can get the kind the only does memory cards and you can get one that does both a memory card and a USB slot which is like you say you download the pics on it and plug it in. I have the one that does both and it is great.

I've got one and it is great, can download from the pc or directly from the camera - although I'm not sure how easy it is as I didn't do the downloading - I'm sure your parents will love it!

Thanks guys, what is the make and model of the one you have, as I want to be able to download straight from the PC to it?

Don't think mine would be of much use as it is German and I have never seen the make in the UK!!

I have one called Aigo, it takes CF/SD/MMC/MSPRO/XD cards and also connects to the computer via USB

Hate to sound thick, but what is a digital photo frame?  Is it a frame with moving pictures al Harry Potter?
- By MariaC [gb] Date 12.08.07 15:23 UTC
I haven't seen the Harry Potter one, but the one I have is like a  normal frame, you download the photos you want onto it, plug it in and it shows the photos in turn, staying on some longer than others, it doesn't seem to go through them in the same order each time.  It's fantastic if you take lots of photos and can't decide which ones to put in the frame.
