Heard a rumour yesterday that the ground is in such a state after the royal welsh ag show, that WKC are moving to newbury? anyone heard anything?

This was asked last week and soemone who knows said the layout woudl be different but venue the same.

Now Richmond being near the Foot and Mouth would seem more likely to need to move and that venue woudl seem better than the one they are usign anyway.

What happened last F & M were alot of shows cancelled or moved to more suitable venues?

Lots of shows were cancelled or postponed including Crufts.

Pembroke County Show, its a big show, with
lots going on, So Looks like it is going ahead
am judging Hounds and Terriers.

RICHMOND DOG SHOW SOCIETY
Outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease
The venue for the Society's forthcoming 2007 championship show is within the "Surveillance Zone" established by DEFRA following confirmation of an outbreak of Foot & Mouth Disease on farm premises in the Guildford area on 3rd August 2007.

No decision will be made regarding the possible re-location, postponement or cancellation of the show until it has become clear whether or not the outbreak of the disease has been successfully contained.

The Officers and Committee of Richmond Dog Show Society are actively considering contingency planning arrangements and consultations with the owner of the venue, DEFRA and The Kennel Club are ongoing.

Further announcements will be made as the situation becomes clearer.
