). I work for JCP, and even though it's the Royal Mail who are on strike, our staff get the abuse if the giro's don't turn up. Most customers are now paid in to B/Acc or Post Office card account, but some of those remaining on giro can get very abusive and threatening to staff. The department has organised for all giro's to be sent to customers nominated post offices on their normal pay dates to assist with the problem, but we, not Royal Mail staff get the abuse? It happened the last time when they had a prolonged strike.
I am surprised they have left it so late as they must know lots of people go straight from Bournemouth
-can't see much of a chance of getting them in time now, especially as show sec can't be reached until this evening.....
