My girl delivered yesterday, the first born was a struggle, she was breach and the sac ruptured leaving her stuck half out for about 10 mins (i was camped out at the vets at the time and he spent the time trying to get her out).
Had to have a section to deliver other pups but im worried about the first one, she has very blue swollen back feet, the vet is stumped and said could be a number of reasons. Not that i have much faith in him as i demanded a section 2 hours earlier and had been camped out in the vets as she was 24 hours in whelp, straining for at least an hour. He wanted to wait for her to deliver on her own. Im thinking the time spend hanging out has severely damaged her but the vet doesnt want to put her to sleep yet even though she will not suckle and is very lethargic.
Guess im wondering if anyone has come across this and if there is a point in me trying with all my might to save this girl, only for her to have to be put to sleep anyway.
Very tired and emotional today and want her to be ok but just know she wont be.
TIA
