I am really depressed and worried about my girl.

She had an emergency Spay due to having Pyometra couple of weeks ago, the vet said her blood pressure was high and they would like to test it again when she came back to have her stitches removed.
Yesterday she had her stitches out, took her blood pressure and it is still very high.
They have now taken some bloods to check for cushing disease, kidney or liver problems.
Her blood pressure was around the 180 mark, I am so worried

So sorry to hear this about your girl.  I do hope she makes a full recovery, my CKCS had the same end of last year, she is 100% now so fingers crossed for your girl.  It may just have been the worry of going to the vets again..

Hmmm..

She could be like my sister, full blown White Coat Syndrome  she had to have an ECG and wear a monitor for 24 hours but that's what it is for her ;)

Hope she's better soon and you can stop worrying

UPDATE:
Just spoken to the vet
her blood tests have come back, her white blood cells are elevated and so are her liver cells, vet seems to think it may be due to the surgery and the Pyometra.
Have got to go back again in weeks time for more blood test and blood pressure, we are supposed to be going on holiday next weekend!!

probably not for the same reason but our 12 week old puppy (born with grade 5 -6 heart murmur is on antenanol (sp) the human blood pressure tablet if is is continually high maybe something like that would help, your vet will know best I am sure.

UPDATE:
Took my girl back to the vets today for yet another blood test and blood pressure, her blood pressure is now 194.
Vets will phone me tomorrow with the results of the blood test, testing her white blood cells liver kidney etc:

She seems fine in herself, enjoys her walks, sort of enjoying her food but doesn't seem to get as excited as she used to when I prepare it.  Seems to like laying around in the house alot, at my feet most of the time.
I don't know if this behaviour is to do with her operation a few weeks ago or if she is ill, lots of good colour in her gums etc

We are supposed to be going on Holiday on Saturday, she is staying with some very good Bernese loving friends of ours who love her to bits, but I just hope she is ok
