My sister has just been on the phone. A short while ago her 5 yr old boxer boy collapsed while trying to sit up. He also wet himself. She couldn't get him up for about 5 mins but he did get up & moved about. He is still not himself & she is going to call her vets but I thought I would ask if anyone has any ideas.

Poor boy, I'm so sorry, I haven't any ideas to help you but going to the vets is the best decision - keeping my fingers crossed for him xx

My first thought would be heart failure, only a vet can help really. Hope he is OK :(
poor boy, Hope you vet can sort him out

How scarey!

I'm sure the vet will give you the answer, good luck.

Heart or epilepsy -unfortunately with epilepsy a vet can't really find anything afetr the event so if nothing is found it will be a case of kepeing a close eye on him a maybe keep a camera handy nearby to film him, should it happen again -I did this with my boy and it was very useful for the vet to be able to view it. Good luck!

Could even by a slipped disc or something spinal. I've been there through that and even ready to have my old girl put down, 3 months later she's like a mad woman and fit and healthy. Looks like she'll be making her 14th birthday afterall!

Sorry not advice but I hope the vet can sort it out,
Maxine
Hi all,
Thanks for the messages. The vet thinks it could have been a fit but have taken blood tests to rule out a brain tumour. We will hopefully know more tomorrow.
