anyone know if its normal for cat to have pink discharge for 3 days from day 55 onwards? my friend is worried!

Def agree with Margot, NOT normal. You only ever see any discharge on the day they give birth (and only a couple of hours before, then it is either clear or just slightly stained) and kittens born on day 55 would stand no chance. Most are born after 65+ days.
