:rolleyes:Hi I have a six year old spayed girl GSP She has been overweight but we have been on holiday for the past fortnight & she has been missing out her breakfast...I've been putting it there for her but she has not been interested...Her evening meal always gets gulped down...
This has proved very satisfactory in getting her weight down.
Today she hasn't been interested in having any tea >She's fast asleep after a very long walk...
I'm wondering whether she's been eating because I've been routinely putting her food down am & pm ..not because she really requires it..
If she isn't eating her protein /vitamins (contained in her dog food) does this mean I should supplement her? Should I now feed her on demand?

Not an expert at all but, when our dog was fed on complete, I used to put his food down and remove it after 15 minutes if it hadn't been eaten. Same food would then go down for the evening meal which he invariably ate.

Now he is raw fed and there are never any meals not eaten :D
